RedState Sports Report: LeBron James, Pick a New Team Already

Greetings from the sports desk, tucked away somewhere beneath the main deck of the Good Pirate Ship RedState. Sammy the Shark and Karl the Kraken would like the record to show that they are, indeed, men for all seasons.

At this rate, it is only a matter of time before they start training for cornhole.

Regular RedState readers have almost certainly followed the latest uproar involving Sophie Cunningham, the Indiana Fever shooting guard/small forward — or, for the hoops terminology crowd, a 3 or 4. Cunningham drew attention after forcefully defending teammate Caitlin Clark following an on-court assault, a move that irritated the familiar chorus of critics who seem nostalgic for the WNBA’s BC era — Before Clark — when crowds were smaller, paychecks reflected that reality, and commercial flights were still the norm for road trips. She then compounded the outrage by saying plainly what most people already recognize: boys and girls are different, and that is why they should compete in separate sports.
