Man stabbed to death in workplace conflict at Anheuser-Busch facility; Suspect in custody, JSO says

A contractor lost his life on Thursday following a stabbing incident at the Anheuser-Busch facility located on Jacksonville’s Northside, as reported by the local sheriff’s office.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A dispute between two contractors at the Anheuser-Busch site on Jacksonville’s Northside culminated in a fatal stabbing Thursday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement officers arrived at the Busch Drive facility at approximately 4:37 p.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing incident, the JSO stated.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man, estimated to be in his mid-20s, suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was promptly transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

JSO indicated that the two individuals involved in the incident were both contractors and had been engaged in an argument that escalated to the stabbing.

The suspect, described as an older man potentially in his 40s, was taken into custody without any injuries, according to Sgt. Highfill from JSO. Several witnesses were also held for questioning.

Sgt. Highfill said workplace violence of this level is rare here in Jacksonville, in his experience.

Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to contact JSO directly or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.

First Coast News has reached out to Anheuser-Busch for a statement on the investigation and is waiting to hear back.
