It was a love affair that fizzled out before it could start.
In 2010, Kim Kardashian and her handsome Australian bodyguard, Shengo Deane, brought a sizzling dynamic to her reality TV show as their professional relationship evolved into a romantic one.
However, although the 44-year-old U.S. celebrity was enamored with the 45-year-old Aussie, their romance concluded when Shengo had to go back to his home country after his visa lapsed.
This led to a flurry of headlines speculating that Kim was in love with the ‘one who got away,’ a notion intensified by her later unsuccessful marriage to her second husband, Kris Humphries.
Meanwhile, Shengo dealt with media scrutiny in his homeland, asserting that he and Kim were merely ‘just friends,’ despite being filmed sharing a kiss and getting into bed together.
There was also an article released by The Star in 2011, in which Shengo’s ex-wife Zuzana Deane claimed he left her for Kim.

Yet, despite the U.S. star’s feelings for the Australian man, their relationship came to an end when Shengo had to return home due to an expired visa
But interest soon died out and the unlikely pair went their separate ways, with Kim moving on to marry Kanye West, while Shengo married her lookalike, Sally Poulos.
So where is Shengo now?
Dodging the spotlight like his life depends on it, it would seem.
The former bodyguard went underground in Sydney following the whirlwind publicity he received in the early 2010s.
He purged his social media accounts and mostly stayed off the grid after he tied the knot with Sally in 2014, less than two months after the Kimye wedding.
But Shengo dipped his toe back into online life in 2023, sharing photos of his new quiet life of luxury to a private Instagram account.
He and Sally appeared to still be going strong and had since had a son together, though it is unclear if the couple are still an item.
Sally no longer appears on Shengo’s social media, and the pair don’t appear to be following each other.

His last post with Sally was shared in March 2023 and appeared to show Sally filming Shengo and giggling as he cleaned their lavish pool.
An account with the handle ‘itssally.d’ was liking Shengo’s posts right up until January 2024, but has since unfollowed him and vice versa.
Since then, Shengo has been living the high-life, enjoying lavish hotel stays and ritzy, black-tie events with his friends.
He made an appearance at the Tour de Cure Gala event in October last year, which had Sunrise sports presenter Mark Beretta as a speaker.
Shengo last made headlines in 2014 when he married his then-fiancée Sally in a waterfront ceremony.
The Australian hunk took to his since-deleted Facebook account with a gallery of beautiful photos from his nuptials at the time.
Photos which have not been posted to his current Instagram account.
‘Feeling blessed,’ he wrote along with a selection of photos in which his brunette bride stunned in a floor-length strapless gown that hugged her curves.

The couple were surrounded by family and friends as they sealed the deal with a romantic kiss.
Back in 2011, fans of Kim’s reality shows went wild when Shengo jumped into bed with the second eldest Kardashian sister during an episode of Kourtney And Kim Take New York.
He had first appeared in Keeping Up With The Kardashians months earlier, but things didn’t appear to get steamy between the bodyguard and Kim until the spin-off series.
It seemed nothing was off bounds for Kim, as the socialite was seen locked in an embrace with her bodyguard, before sleeping with him in her bedroom.
The next morning they snuggled beneath Kim’s white sheets and kissed on camera before Shengo performed the ‘walk of shame’ out of her New York apartment.
The pair, who originally met while Kim was visiting Sydney in 2010, organised to meet up in the Big Apple with him after Shengo sent Kim an email saying hello.
Throughout their interactions on the two shows, Kim described Shengo as: ‘Tall, dark and has the sexiest Australian accent.’
Shengo confessed in 2011 he and Kim discussed working together again after her marriage to ex-husband Kris broke down, but nothing came of the talks.
