NIGEL Farage has spoken out after cops were accused of “covering up” that two men charged with raping a 12-year-old girl were asylum seekers.

Two men were charged after a girl was allegedly kidnapped, raped and strangled in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, is accused of raping of the underage girl in Nuneaton on July 22.

A second man, Mohammad Kabir, also 23, has been charged with aiding and abetting rape, as well as strangulation and kidnap of the girl.

George Finch, the leader of Warwickshire county council and Reform party politician, claimed there has been a “cover up”.

He alleged the two men were asylum seekers, and accused the police of hiding this from the public.

Now, Nigel Farage has weighed into the debate and blasted that the British people “have had enough” of “unidentified males” roaming the streets.

During a press briefing, the Reform leader stated, “All these young and unidentified males entering the country should not be allowed to freely roam the streets.”

“They should be detained ahead of them being deported.

“We will do that to protect the British people. We have had enough.”

Cllr Finch alleged that Monica Fogarty, the council’s chief executive, informed him that Kabir was an asylum seeker residing in a shared housing situation.

He said locals were able to “join the dots together” and came to the same assumption.

He also noted that as the leader of Warwickshire County Council, he was not immediately informed about the involvement of two migrants in the suspected rape of a girl in Nuneaton.

The Reform councillor claims he was only made aware of Mulakhil being charged two days later on July 29.

He claims he tried to contact the local police and crime commissioner, only to be told he was on holiday and didn’t know much about the case.

The Council Leader claimed he was “begging” and “screaming” for all details relating to the accused’s asylum status to be released.

He said: “Our communities are at breaking point and that’s why we need Reform to change things. We’re the last line of defence against this block.

“The people of Nuneaton are hurt. They’ve had enough.”

The Warwickshire assault allegedly unfolded between 8.30pm and 9.45pm on Tuesday, July 22.

CCTV footage from a nearby doorbell camera appeared to show a man walking with the girl at around 8pm.

Cops detained the suspect on Saturday 26, and he was charged the following day.

He appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.

Both defendants will next appear at Warwick Crown Court on August 26.

Even though police are not required to disclose a suspect’s nationality, it was reportedly advised that local politicians and officials refrain from doing so to avoid “inflaming community tensions,” as reported by The Times.

The roads where suspects live are usually named, but in this case were kept secret.

However, Warwickshire Police has not denied reports that Mr Mulakhil and Mr Kabir are asylum seekers.

An official claimed police feared the area would become a hotbed for protests like those outside a migrant hotel in Epping, Essex, last month.

Last month, Epping made the headlines after becoming a hotspot for protests outside of asylum seeker hotels.

The protest outside the Bell Hotel in Epping started calmly but eventually turned into what was described by officers as “isolated violent incidents” targeting police and property.

Eight officers were injured and a number of police vehicles were damaged as missiles were thrown.
