Texas Murderer Kills 3 in Houston Shooting Spree, Then Turns Gun on Himself

Three individuals lost their lives in the Houston area on Wednesday in two separate shooting incidents, both committed by the same gunman, who later ended his own life.

The first shooting occurred just before 1 p.m. in Sugar Land, where a 47-year-old woman was found in her vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a hospital, she was pronounced dead. The assailant fled the scene, as reported by KPRC.

This incident was initially suspected to be a road rage case; however, investigators later revealed the 42-year-old gunman had a personal relationship with the victim.

Sugar Land Police identified the victim as Shelly Perrault, according to KHOU.

Within 45 minutes, the suspect reached a mechanic shop in southwest Houston, where an argument ensued. The shooter killed a mechanic and then shot another man filming the scene with his phone before fleeing.

Surveillance video from the mechanic shop captured the suspect getting out of his car, pursuing one of the men, and fatally shooting him. One of the victims was identified as the shop’s owner.

Witnesses told KTRK that the gun man was a customer at the mechanic shop and knew the man he killed. The second man who was killed, police said, worked at another auto shop across the street and was recording to try to get the murder’s license plate number.

Both men were pronounced dead on the scene, while a third man was taken to a hospital with a panic attack.

Then, at 2 p.m., Houston police responded to another shooting about three miles from the mechanic shop, where the killer had turned his gun on himself, according to KPRC.

Police don’t yet know a motive for the murders. A family member of Perrault said that he believed she and her killer had been separated for a number of years, according to KHOU.

Investigators have not released the identities of the killer or his other two victims.
