Authorities allege that McKee is responsible for the deaths of his ex-wife, Monique Tepe, and her husband, Spencer Tepe, during the holiday season in Columbus.

The couple was discovered shot to death in their residence on December 30, with their two children found unharmed inside the home.

According to court records, McKee was identified as a suspect through surveillance footage obtained from the area.

The investigation spanned multiple states and gained nationwide attention. However, authorities were able to apprehend McKee in Rockford on Saturday. The circumstances of McKee’s presence there remain unclear, though he is known to work as a vascular surgeon.

A grand jury in Franklin County returned an indictment against McKee on Friday. At the time, he was being held in a Winnebago County jail.

McKee is charged with two counts of Aggravated Murder and one count of Aggravated Burglary.

All counts include a three-year firearm specification for using a gun to commit Aggravated Murder and a six-year firearm specification for using a firearm suppressor.
