For the first time since the abduction of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, Savannah Guthrie’s sister and brother-in-law have been spotted looking tense.
Annie Guthrie, aged 56, and her husband, Tomasso Cioni, were seen leaving their Tucson, Arizona home in a dark Honda SUV around 5 p.m. MT on Tuesday, attempting to shield themselves from view.
Annie tried to obscure her face from the cameras by covering her head with a coral-colored hoodie.
Cioni used his t-shirt to cover his mouth and nose, complementing his disguise with a pair of aviator sunglasses to avoid being photographed.
The couple, who wed in 2006 and share a child, briefly returned to their $650,000 Tucson residence shortly thereafter.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos noted that they were the last known individuals to have seen Nancy before she disappeared.
Savannah is believed to be staying with them at her home.
FBI agents visited the property around 2:30pm MT on Tuesday as they continue to investigate the kidnapping of Savannah and Annie’s mother Nancy. They left later the same afternoon.

She requires regular medication for a health condition and investigators have warned that denying Nancy these could result in her death.
Police sources told Fox News on Tuesday that Nancy’s pacemaker stopped transmitting information to her Apple Watch around 2am on Sunday.
The Apple Watch was found in Nancy’s home, suggesting she had been taken out of its range when her pacemaker stopped sending data.
At Tuesday’s press conference, Sheriff Nanos was unable to offer information about a possible suspect or suspects.
He said his deputies were still trying to obtain footage from Nancy’s doorbell camera.

The show has led with the story every day since but its reporters admitted Wednesday there was little new information to share with viewers.
Savannah issued a statement on Monday night requesting prayers. She has dropped out of hosting the Milan Winter Olympics while the hunt for her mother continues.
