LOS ANGELES — Get ready to reunite with Nick Wilde, Judy Hopps, and Gary De’Snake as they make their way to your screens!

The highly anticipated “Zootopia 2” is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+. Fans can dive back into the lively escapades of Nick and Judy, who embark on an undercover mission to explore the secretive, historical layers of their bustling animal city.

In celebration of the film’s streaming debut, On The Red Carpet caught up with director Byron Howard, producer Yvett Merino, and star Yvette Nicole Brown.

With its digital release already underway, Brown expresses her joy in reconnecting with the duo’s antics. “I love catching up with Judy and Nick’s adventures,” she shares.

Brown enthusiastically adds, “I sense a budding romance. I’m a fan! I believe Nick and Judy are destined to be together, maybe by ‘Zootopia 7,’ and I’m all for it.”

Merino is thrilled about the opportunity for fans to enjoy a double feature with both “Zootopia” films once “Zootopia 2” arrives on Disney+. “Our sequel picks up right where the first one leaves off, so viewers can indulge in a marathon night, experiencing the full journey of Judy and Nick so far,” she notes.

Since its release, “Zootopia 2” has become the eighth highest-grossing film ever, grossing $1.85 billion worldwide. It received the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Feature, and is an Academy Award nominee in the same category.

Howard tells us how proud he is of its reception and the fanbase it’s created. “When the film goes out into the world, there’s nothing better that, no matter where you go in the world, someone in that room has seen ‘Zootopia,’ and it’s just a wonderful thing to know that they love that world as much as we do, and there’s a desire for more. It’s a great feeling.”

“Zootopia 2” is available now on digital and hops onto Disney+ March 11. “Zootopia” and “Zootopia+” are already streaming on Disney+.
