It wasn’t just emotions running high for one “Love Island” fan in Arizona.
Authorities say a devoted viewer was caught driving more than 100 mph as she rushed home Tuesday night to catch the latest episode of the hit reality series as soon as it aired.
The woman, whose name was not released, was stopped on State Route 347 after an Arizona Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol trooper clocked her at 108 mph — 45 mph over the posted speed limit.
According to an arrest roundup shared by the agency, the driver told the trooper she was “trying to get home fast” so she could watch “Love Island.”
Her explanation did not spare her from arrest. Officials said she was booked on charges of criminal speeding and reckless driving, meaning she likely missed the very episode she was racing to see.
Authorities also impounded her cherry-red car for 20 days, with the department jokingly referring to the impound lot as “car jail.”

“Love Island,” NBC’s hit dating competition streamed exclusively on Peacock, airs new episodes of its various series every day except Wednesday.
Tuesday’s episode of “Love Island USA” featured the first “America’s Vote” segment of the season, where a public poll decides the fate of the Islanders.
The vote matched three new members to the villa, whose very introduction already threatened to shake up the couples’ status quo, with others who already had a pair.
