Coworker Says Lindsay Clancy Cried Over Andrea Yates Case

Margaret Hamp, a former colleague of Lindsay Clancy, told jurors Monday that Clancy once broke down in tears after Hamp described the case of Andrea Yates, the Texas mother who drowned her five children.

Hamp testified that the conversation came up at work after a pregnant woman arrived at the hospital saying she wanted to take her own life.

“I explained [Yates] to her, and [Lindsay] cried and said, ‘How could a mother hurt her children?’ ” Hamp recalled in court.
