President Trump on Friday mocked Sen. Jon Ossoff over his reported campaign spending on makeup, claiming the Georgia Democrat has spent more on cosmetics than any senator in history.
Speaking at a midterm rally for Republican candidates in Dalton, Georgia, Trump said Ossoff relies heavily on professional makeup services.
“He goes full bore. He’s got the makeup artist. They’re in there all the time. I don’t know how he does it, but he spends a fortune,” Trump said. “He spends more money on makeup than any man or woman in the history of the Senate. The women aren’t happy about it.”
Ossoff, who is seeking a second term in the Senate, has spent thousands of dollars in campaign funds on “makeup services” during the current election cycle, according to a Washington Free Beacon report published in July.
Since February, Ossoff’s campaign has made nearly $3,000 in payments to makeup artist Stephanie Ponder. She has previously worked with Hollywood stars on the sets of films including “The Notebook” and “The Hunger Games.”
The 39-year-old senator has spent more on makeup services than any other federal candidate in 2026, the outlet reported.

Ossoff’s campaign did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Trump also turned the joke toward himself, speaking about his own use of makeup during the rally.
“I wear very little, and I do it myself,” he said. “Because if you don’t put a little on, you look a little bit like a dead person – and I don’t want to look that way.”
The president traveled to Georgia to campaign for Ossoff’s Republican challenger, Rep. Mike Collins, as well as GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson.
Trump praised Collins for his record in Congress and then highlighted the candidate’s appearance.
“There’s nobody more respected than Mike, with the job he’s done as a congressman,” Trump said. “He is central casting. If I’m casting a movie for a senator – I like the white hair. I like that big, strong build – that’s what I want.”
Trump likewise praised Jackson, describing him as a “great businessman” and a “very handsome, distinguished, beautiful looking guy.”
