Second arrest made in July 11 shooting that killed 1

METTER, Ga. () — A second individual has been arrested in relation to the shooting death of a man in Metter, as announced by the Candler County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) on Thursday.

Alfonzo Tippins is in custody. Tippin was arrested Thursday morning by the United States Marshals Service in Cocoa Beach, FL.

Tippin was sought in connection with a shooting incident near MLK Boulevard and East Lee Street on July 11, which resulted in the death of Quincy Hall.

He will be brought back to Candler County and held in the Candler County Jail while awaiting trial.

The other individual wanted in connection with the shooting, Is’real Saunders, was arrested in Bibb County on Monday.
