An Australian couple has suddenly found themselves among the nation’s elite after securing a $20 million jackpot in the Oz Lotto draw.
Hailing from Goulburn in the western part of New South Wales, the couple possessed the sole division one winning ticket in Oz Lotto’s 1485th draw, earning them an impressive sum of approximately $20,034,030.85.
The duo from the Southern Tablelands expressed that their days of financial struggle are firmly behind them.
“I’m overwhelmed with emotion, mate. Just when I think I’ve got it under control, the tears start flowing again,” the husband shared.
“I honestly don’t know what to do with myself,” he added.
“We’ve always been the typical Aussie battlers. But now, I suppose, that chapter is over.”

‘I dropped into the store this morning to check my ticket and the team member gave me a shocked look,’ he said.
‘He said, ‘you might need to sit down, mate’.”
The man also revealed his incredible plan for the money.
‘I can’t wait to share it with my family. I’ll set everyone up and make sure they don’t have to worry about anything,’ he said.
The couple joked they would not make it into the office to resign after their massive win.
‘Retirement is beckoning. I’m not sure if we’ll actually make it back into work at this rate.’ they said.
‘We might just run away!’
