Gordon Ramsay recently shared a humorous anecdote about the emotional moment he discovered the cost of his daughter Holly’s wedding dress. The event marked her marriage to Olympian Adam Peaty, a ceremony that took place at Bath Abbey late last year.

The renowned chef, now 59, had the honor of walking Holly down the aisle. However, the occasion was not without its drama, as a family feud resulted in Adam’s mother, Caroline, being excluded from the ceremony. The only relative from Adam’s side present was his sister, Bethany.

During a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show in the United States, Gordon chose to focus on the joy of the day rather than the family tensions. He recounted the experience with warmth and a touch of humor, joking about how his large size 15 feet made it challenging to dance with the bride.

Amid laughs, he confessed, “I was very emotional, I was crying because I realized how expensive the dress was. That realization really hit me hard.”

Holly’s wedding gown drew inspiration from the iconic dress worn by Kate Middleton at her own royal wedding in 2011, designed by Alexander McQueen.

Reflecting on the day, Gordon expressed his deep pride, saying, “We have six kids, three girls, and three boys. Her mother, Tana, is incredible. But when you see your daughter for the first time, coming down those stairs, and witness her transformation into such an amazing lady, it truly moves you.”

‘So the secret to any great relationship is not the communication but time together. Dating, dinners, cinema, jogging. We do triathlons together’.   

It comes after the newlyweds shared another glimpse of their lavish honeymoon on Saturday after arriving in Australia. 

Holly and Adam soaked up the sun in Queensland after beginning their trip at a luxurious £6,000-a-night resort in Mauritius. 

She showcased her jaw-dropping figure and incredibly toned abs in a skimpy black and white crop top with matching shorts for a 5am hike. 

Taking to their Instagram Stories the pair enjoyed their walk before sitting down to an alfresco breakfast ahead of Adam training in a nearby pool.

He showcased his buff and tattooed physique in a pair of tiny budgie smugglers alongside the caption: ‘First session in Australia done, can’t beat this place’. 

Holly revealed they are staying in the luxury five-star Mondrian Gold Coast as she took to her Instagram to share a snap of the incredible balcony views.

During their trip, the couple put themselves in her celebrity chef dad Gordon’s shoes as they whipped up a curry during a masterclass. 

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Holly, 26, shared an array of snaps from the class, including her new husband in chef whites. 

Holly and Adam started their day by heading to the food market to shop for ingredients before returning to the resort for a private cooking class with a chef. 

She captioned the snaps: ‘Morning at the local market and then straight to the kitchen to learn how to make a Mauritian curry, yes chef @adamramsaypeaty!!’

Holly looked incredible as she slipped into a bikini while sharing more photos from her honeymoon on Tuesday.

She took to her Instagram Stories and posted a selfie wearing a black beaded bikini top along with a red wrap skirt.

Holly styled her brunette locks into a ponytail and sported a pair of trendy sunglasses.

She also shared a photo of her new husband Adam as he went for a stroll along the grounds of the scenic resort where the couple are spending their holiday.

The Daily Mail revealed last week that Holly and Adam have jetted off to the One&Only Le Saint Géran – one of the island’s most prestigious five-star hotel and spa complexes.

The couple belatedly flew from London to Mauritius after delaying their 10-day escape while three-time Olympic gold medallist Adam took part in a swimming competition in Romania.

Shortly after arriving, the couple were seen hurrying down to the white sand beach, where Adam posed for selfies with locals.

One onlooker told the Daily Mail: ‘They looked very loved-up and relaxed. Adam was happy to stop and chat and seemed in great spirits.’

Le Saint Géran, set on an idyllic private peninsula, offers suites that can soar in price to more than £6,000-a-night.

The property, among the first luxury resorts built on the island in 1975, has attracted a glittering guest list over the years, including Nelson Mandela, George and Amal Clooney, Rihanna and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
