While this list highlights some of the notable events, it’s worth noting that additional celebrations might be taking place around the region.
In Wheeling, the celebrations kick off with a fireworks display set for June 27 at 9:15 p.m. at the Chicago Executive Airport. This event offers an early start to the festivities, providing a fantastic opportunity to witness a breathtaking show.
Cook County
Moving to the suburb of Burbank, the fireworks will illuminate the skies on June 28 at 9:45 p.m. at Narragansett Park. This community event promises to be a delightful evening for families and friends gathering to celebrate Independence Day.
Des Plaines will host its Independence Day Celebration on June 28, with the fireworks commencing at 9:15 p.m. Attendees can begin arriving at Oakton College from 7 p.m. to enjoy the pre-show atmosphere and secure a prime spot for viewing.
Finally, the town of Mount Prospect will hold two fireworks events at Melas Park, ensuring everyone gets a chance to enjoy the pyrotechnic displays. The first show will light up the sky on July 1, followed by another on the Fourth of July itself, both starting at 9:30 p.m.
