SAN DIEGO, Calif. — In a first-of-its-kind medical milestone, humanoid robots have carried out two surgical procedures on pigs, a breakthrough researchers say could reshape how hospitals approach surgery in the years ahead.
The work, involving engineers and surgeons at the University of California San Diego, was published July 8 in the journal Nature.
