Earlier today, my colleague Bob Hoge from RedState highlighted yet another compelling advertisement from Spencer Pratt, who is in the race for mayor of Los Angeles. Pratt continues to spotlight the challenges that have arisen after years of ineffective Democratic governance in the city.
This scenario is both classic and all too familiar.
As Bob observed:
Pratt is not just talking the talk; he’s out there engaging with residents across Los Angeles, whether in safe neighborhoods or areas that are less so, as the clock ticks down to the June 2 primary. This engagement is sparking hope among the populace, and hope can be a formidable force.
As Bob said:
[T]here’s a different vibe in California than I’ve ever felt in the three-plus decades I’ve lived here. People on all sides of the political spectrum are watching the state slide into a decrepit shell of itself, and many of them want change.
Pratt is also walking the walk, meeting the people all over the city, in safe and unsafe areas, in the last-minute countdown to the June 2 primary. People are daring to hope, and that’s a powerful thing.
