Federal investigators confirmed Sunday that the crew members on board an Amazon cargo aircraft survived after the jet crashed while landing at Miami International Airport.
The National Transportation Safety Board shared the update at a Sunday news conference, saying the cargo plane ran off the runway and burst into flames after touching down. Officials said the crash left five people dead and five others injured.

NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy said the jet struck two vehicles that together were carrying at least eight people.
Authorities said seven of the victims were inside a van operating within the airport perimeter for airline cleaning services. A separate civilian vehicle was also hit after the aircraft broke through the airport boundary.
