Pacers troll Knicks fans using New York Post back pages

The Knicks’ season ended in painful fashion on Saturday night, and the Pacers showed no mercy.

The team’s X account playfully used some New York Post back covers to mock the Knicks and their long-suffering fans after the Pacers moved on to the NBA Finals with a 125-108 victory in Game 6.

The jubilant account crafted a heavily edited image featuring a half-sliced rotten apple, with “Pacers in 6” written above it. In the backdrop, New York Post back pages were scattered around, with the phrase, “start spreading the news.”

The most prominently displayed was the CHOKE 2.0 headline, which The Post published after the Knicks — who have now endured a 52-year championship drought — squandered a large lead in the closing moments of their crushing Game 1 loss, which set the tone for the series.

The team’s account wasn’t done trolling the Knicks.

It also posted photos of Tyrese Haliburton and Reggie Miller performing the choke signs in another photoshop image, calling back the times the two Pacers’ stars broke the Knicks’ hearts with late heroics.
