Penthouse Pet Adva Lavie investigated in ex-fiancé drugging case

The legal troubles surrounding Penthouse Pet Adva Lavie have taken an unexpected new turn.

Police are investigating whether the social media influencer allegedly drugged her billionaire former fiancé with ketamine, according to a search warrant obtained by The Los Angeles Times.

Lavie, 29, is already facing felony charges over allegations that she used dating apps to gain access to wealthy people and steal from them. Investigators are now examining what may have occurred during her relationship with Stephen Cloobeck, 64.

The ketamine investigation emerged after the Los Angeles Police Department asked a judge in August for authorization to search Lavie’s phone.

According to the warrant, Beverly Hills Detective Steve Own had already been investigating the drugging allegation when he saw Lavie at Azur, a French Mediterranean restaurant, in July.

Lavie was out on bail and taking selfies inside the restaurant. Own noticed that she apparently was not wearing the ankle monitor required by her bail conditions.

“Own was familiar with Lavie because he himself had been investigating whether Lavie was drugging her fiance Steve Cloobeck with ketamine,” LAPD Detective Andrea Marsh wrote in the warrant affidavit.

Cloobeck had previously reported the matter to Beverly Hills police, The Times reported. The warrant does not disclose the circumstances of that report or explain what prompted detectives to investigate the alleged drugging.

Lavie’s attorney, Jeremy Lessen, also declined to comment on the allegation, according to The Times.

The latest development adds to the mounting allegations involving Lavie, who has also used the names Mia Ventura, Shoshana and Shana.

She has pleaded not guilty to two counts of grand theft and two counts of first-degree residential burglary. Prosecutors allege that between 2023 and 2025, she used dating apps to target wealthy older men and younger women in Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.

Authorities have also identified possible cases involving Lavie in Hermosa Beach, Nevada, Florida, Italy and France. One of the most striking allegations surfaced during Coachella weekend in July.

While free on bail, Lavie allegedly attended the Coachella Valley Music Festival, where Indio police say she stole thousands of dollars in luxury items from a victim. The alleged property included an $8,600 Rolex, $700 Louis Vuitton sunglasses, a Louis Vuitton card holder and nearly $2,000 in cash.

Police also allege that Lavie left in the victim’s Cybertruck. She has not been charged in connection with those claims.

The ankle-monitor issue later resulted in another arrest. After Own saw Lavie at the restaurant and contacted officials, authorities determined that her court-ordered monitor was placing her at the nearby Peninsula Hotel. Lavie was subsequently taken into custody.

Her lawyers later requested mental health diversion, but the bid was denied. During a hearing last month, prosecutors played jailhouse recordings that they said showed Lavie boasting about exploiting Cloobeck.

By that point, the couple’s relationship had already fallen apart.

Cloobeck ended their engagement in early June, bringing their wedding plans to a close. Lavie also moved out of his $26 million Beverly Hills mansion.

Even so, a person close to the couple previously told The Post that Cloobeck remained friendly with his former fiancée and “still cares about Adva.”

Cloobeck has also encountered legal troubles of his own.

He was arrested in May and charged with three counts of attempting to dissuade a witness from testifying and one count of harassment for making annoying phone calls.

His attorney has reportedly called those charges false.
