After months of anticipation and sparking controversy among critics, the Trump administration revealed designs in mid-April for a “triumphal arch.” This proposed 250-foot monument in Washington, D.C., aims to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.
According to RedState, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that “this year marks America’s 250th birthday. To honor this milestone, President Trump and the Department of the Interior are presenting plans for the United States Triumphal Arch, envisioned as an architectural marvel to celebrate our nation’s history in Washington, D.C.”
Leavitt further explained that the arch is intended to occupy a currently vacant green space in Memorial Circle on Columbia Island, a man-made island in the Potomac River overseen by the National Park Service.
Our reports also highlighted that President Trump had three designs to consider and naturally opted for the most grandiose of the options available.

As we also reported, three plans had been submitted to President Trump for review. He, of course, picked the biggest and boldest one.
