NYC school teacher hosts conspiracy podcast

A New York City public school teacher is under scrutiny after The Post reported that he runs an online podcast featuring antisemitic conspiracy claims, at times appearing on camera in a homemade tinfoil hat.

George Trim, 43, a social studies teacher at IS 281 in Bath Beach, Brooklyn, has repeatedly uploaded videos to YouTube under the handle Cartoonking365, according to the report.

The YouTube channel was created on April 26, 2015.

The Post said it confirmed Trim’s identity by comparing images from the YouTube account with photos shared online through the school’s Instagram page.

His channel, titled MMEEDUCATING, includes videos in which he discusses a range of conspiracy theories while dressed in unusual outfits, including a tinfoil hat and a Guy Fawkes mask.

In a July 8 video, Trim, who earned $110,848 last year, according to the report, promoted the antisemitic conspiracy theory that World Trade Center leaseholder Larry Silverstein had advance knowledge of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

“Before you have a 9/11, this guy just has the insight to get insurance against a terrorist attack on the Twin Towers. Okay, Larry Silverstein, you are you,” Trim said in the video.

In another video posted June 15, he alleged that Israel was involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

“Jack Ruby, not Mr. Rubenstein, we’re never gonna ever call him that, they keep telling us he’s part of the mafia, they didn’t say which mafia … in Israel he’ll be referred to as Jacob Rubenstein; in America he’s Jack Ruby,” Trim urged.

“The Jewish mafia’s involved … doesn’t that change a lot of things? Don’t we have to therefore … look into what happened with the fact that JFK was saying ‘hey, American Zionist party … y’all lobbying money but you need to label yourselves foreign entities. They decide not, same year he’s gone.”

In another video, Trim — who boasts over 7,000 YouTube subscribers — claimed the moon landing was a hoax.

“They say ‘You crazy, how dare you not believe in the moon landing?’… and just like that we went from not having any ability to ever go to outer space … and all the sudden we have made it to the moon,” he raged on March 25.

Trim began working for the city Department of Education in 2009 and collected a $110,848 salary in 2025, public records show. He received a master’s degree from the University of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx in 2012, according to his LinkedIn.

The Post identified Trim by comparing images from his YouTube account to photos posted on IS 281’s Instagram page.

“Antisemitic educators and schools continue to freely promote Jewish conspiracies, tropes, libels, and indoctrination that go unchecked by school leaders,” United Jewish Teacher President Moshe Spern told The Post.

A DOE spokesperson told The Post that the matter has been referred for investigation.

“The views described do not reflect the values of New York City Public Schools and have no place in our classrooms,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

IS 281 faced backlash in June 2025 after it hosted Syrian-American author Rhonda Rhoumani to discuss her book, “Tagging Freedom,” in an assembly for sixth graders.

During the lecture, Rhoumani displayed a map of the Middle East that omitted all of the land that comprises Israel, leaving only Gaza and the West Bank with the rest colored in blue, and labeled the country “Palestine.”

A DOE spokesperson said that the lecture was investigated and “appropriate action was taken.”

City public schools have been plagued by antisemitism and anti-Israel indoctrination since the Hamas terrorist attack on Oct. 7, 2003.

Trim could not be reached for comment. The DOE did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
