Jason Galanis, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, has been identified as the man engaged to reality TV personality Savannah Chrisley.
The “Chrisley Knows Best” star revealed in an Instagram announcement that she is pregnant and engaged to a man named Jason. Us Weekly later reported that her fiancé is Galanis.
Galanis, 56, told the House Oversight Committee in 2024 that he worked with Hunter Biden from 2012 through 2015.
The two held equity stakes in Burnham Financial Group, where Hunter Biden served as vice chairman.
According to Galanis, Hunter was brought into the firm because of the “strategic relationships” he could offer through contacts in countries including Kazakhstan, Russia and China.
Federal court records show that Galanis used BFG subsidiary Burnham Securities to arrange a $60 million scheme involving the sale of fraudulent municipal bonds to the Wakpamni Lake Community of the Oglala Sioux Tribe in South Dakota.
In September 2020, Galanis received a 189-month prison sentence for his role in the fraud.
During his incarceration, he briefly assisted House Republican investigators examining his business connections to Hunter Biden, the son of the 46th president.
In testimony delivered remotely, Galanis described a 2014 phone conversation involving then-Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and the former mayor of Moscow.

Galanis said that during the May 4, 2014, call, Joe Biden told former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and his wife, billionaire businesswoman Yelena Baturina, “You be good to my boy.”
The account came after Baturina had transferred $3.5 million to a company controlled by Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer. Archer later became connected to the tribal bond deal involving Galanis.
Galanis also told Republican investigators that Hunter Biden’s ambition was to generate “billions, not just millions” for his family.
“The entire value add of Hunter Biden to our business was his family name and his access to his father, Vice President Joe Biden,” Galanis testified. He said he agreed to provide equity ownership without an out-of-pocket investment in return for what he called their “relationship capital.”
President Trump commuted Galanis’ sentence last year. At the time, Galanis had been serving a 14-year term at a federal corrections center in Montgomery, Ala.
Hunter Biden later minimized his relationship with Galanis during his own 2024 testimony before the House Oversight Committee.
“I think that 10 years ago for 30 minutes I was introduced to Jason Galanis, and that’s only – the only time I ever recall meeting him,” Hunter said.
Page Six reported that Galanis and Savannah Chrisley’s father, Todd Chrisley—who was also pardoned by Trump—spent time at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Fla., in 2023.
Before his legal troubles, Galanis gained attention as an investor in internet pornography technology and was once nicknamed “Porn’s New King.”
