A 21-year-old man, Evert Luna, has been taken into custody by Glynn County police following accusations of attempting to kidnap two 12-year-old girls on Thanksgiving.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Glynn County Police Department revealed on Friday the arrest of Luna, who is alleged to have tried to abduct two young girls on November 27.
Authorities responded to an emergency call near Burnett Road and New Jesup Highway. The call reported that Luna had approached the girls and attempted to forcibly take them by grabbing their arms.
Upon arrival, patrol officers swiftly found Luna still in the vicinity and detained him. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division joined the scene to interview witnesses, Luna himself, and to collect further evidence.
Luna is facing two charges of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, according to police statements.
